‘What’s the Big Idea’ weekend kicks off with 48-hour boot camp
The Knoxville Entrepreneur Center (KEC) hosts the annual event to help accelerate new founders with big ideas.
For the next 48 hours, the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center (KEC) is going to be bustling with energy, ideas, and motivated entrepreneurs. Six teams – with diverse ideas and concepts are in the process of breaking down their business idea and formulating a functional approach to bring the concept to market.
It’ll be a busy weekend in downtown Knoxville – both with What’s the Big Idea, the weekly Farmer’s Market in Market Square, and the added traffic from Mardi Growl in World’s Fair Park.
How does it work?
The six founders convened last night (Friday) at 5:30 for the kick-off event. Here, they connected with their mentors – who have been strategically assigned based on industry expertise, and received encouragement for winning the initial qualifying round.
The focus of the weekend is to work through every facet of the business, legal and finance, to marketing, sales, design, technology, and more.
