What does the Anderson-DuBose expansion mean for East TN jobs?

The new facility in Jefferson County will support up to 450 restaurant locations in the region.

It’s been one month since Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, alongside Department of Economic and Community Development (TNDEC) Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter and Anderson-DuBose Company officials, announced the company will invest nearly $40 million by locating its first operations in Tennessee.

“We are thrilled to be expanding into Tennessee and building our state-of-the-art distribution center in Jefferson City. This investment will help us meet the cold and dry food service storage needs of our valued customers in the Southeast,” said Anderson-DuBose President, Mike Boddy. This expansion will help the company service and support more than 450 restaurant locations throughout the region.

One of Anderson-DuBose’s biggest customers is McDonalds. In fact, the company got it’s start by acquiring a McDonald’s distribution center in 1991.  As you can imagine, Anderson-DuBose has grown significantly, as the global chain continues to dominate the fast-food scene.

Anderson-DuBose will locate the new distribution facility in Jefferson City, which will house 80 new jobs upon completion of the project. It is also their first location in Tennessee. Their other distribution locations are in Ohio and New York.

It is always a great day when we can welcome a new business partner. Anderson-DuBose will bring 80 new quality jobs for citizens in Jefferson County to help support their families and advance their careers,” said State Representative Jeremy Faison from Cosby. ” We welcome our newest employer and wish them success for many years to come.”
