Two Tennessee-founded teams among 21 presenting at “DIG SOUTH Wild Pitch 2021”
On Friday we posted this article about the ninth annual “DIG SOUTH Tech Summit” that kicks-off Wednesday at the College of Charleston. Later that day, we learned that two of the 21 companies being showcased in Friday’s “DIG SOUTH Wild Pitch 2021,” sponsored by SCRA, are from Tennessee. They are:
- Maro, formerly known as BeforeWeBegin when it was launched in Chattanooga and spotlighted in this January 20, 2020 article in teknovation.biz. It was co-founded by Kenzie Butera Davis and Lilly Mittenthal to help parents navigate tough growing-up conversations around mental & reproductive health, empathy & diversity.
- Trunk of Lebanon that provides a contact-free moving service. The move can be all-at-once or gradual using the company’s “award-winning container” that can hold up to 120 pounds.
The grand prize includes $10,000 in cloud credits from Oracle for Startups. The runner up will receive a $5000 sponsorship package to the “DIG SOUTH Tech Summit 2022.”
