TREEDC planning forums starting next month in the Philippines
A delegation from the Tennessee Renewable Energy & Economic Development Council (TREEDC) returned to the Philippines earlier this summer with a two-fold agenda – providing an update on its International Exchange Program and finalizing plans for a series of four upcoming forums.
TREEDC President James Talley, who is Mayor of Ducktown, said the forums begin in late September and continue through early October. They are scheduled to be held at colleges in the Metro Manila, Central Luzon, and Bicol Regions. The schedule can be found here (TREEDC Philippines Forum Schedule1).
According to a recent TREEDC news release, the forums have a dual purpose to:
- Promote awareness of Tennessee best practices in renewable energy; and
- Connect renewable energy educational opportunities and jobs for both Philippines and Tennessee entities through outreach, business networking, student career development, and collaborative projects.
