Study outlines way to better serve Baton Rouge entrepreneurs, but no action taken on its recommendations
How many studies get funded, then shelved after they are delivered? The answer would be many, and it appears that one funded in part by the Baton Rouge Area Chamber falls into that category.
The business group joined with Louisiana State University (LSU) and the Research Park Corporation (RPC) to study how the latter two could work more closely together to better serve Baton Rouge’s entrepreneurial community. In April, the firm released the results of that study, which essentially concludes the ecosystem is fragmented and recommends the two entities collaborate more.
How did LSU and RPC respond? The answer, as detailed here, appears to be, “We collaborate when we need to do so.”
