SBIR/STTR workshop set for November 20 in Chattanooga
Are you looking for help in securing Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grants? If so, you should consider registering for an upcoming workshop.
Launch Tennessee (LaunchTN) and the University of Tennessee’s (UT) Center for Industrial Services are hosting an SBIR/STTR proposal preparation workshop from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. November 20 at the SimCenter at UT Chattanooga.
Jim Stefansic, LaunchTN’s Commercialization Director, will lead the program. During his career, Stefansic has successfully acquired more than $3.5 million in SBIR funding from the National Institutes of Health.
The session will focus on the basics of preparing a competitive Phase I SBIR or STTR proposal, ways to avoid common mistakes many proposers make, an overview of basic government accounting concepts, and a review of LaunchTN federally funded SBIR grant writing assistance program.
