Rolling Storage finalist in one of eight categories in the “Dream Big Awards” competition

Kaleb Winders, a University of Tennessee, Knoxville student, won the Spring 2019 edition of the “Vol Court Speakers Series and Pitch Competition” for Rolling Storage. Now, he’s competing next week on a national stage as a finalist in one of the eight categories in the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s “Dream Big Awards” event.

Set for 2 p.m. EDT October 15, the virtual event will pit Winders against two other companies – Campfire Industries of South Jordan, UT and Teen Hustl of Broomfield, CO – for the “Young Entrepreneur Achievement Award.” Rolling Storage was designed to address a challenge Winders and his girlfriend experienced while attending a football game in 2017. They were stopped at the entry gate when his girlfriend was carrying a purse, unaware of the stadium’s clear bag policy.

As we described in this teknovation.biz article, they did not want to discard her $400 purse, so Winders ran/walked two miles back to his car and missed the first quarter of the game.
