Real Good Kitchen celebrates its third anniversary

Since its opening, the shared commercial kitchen facility has served nearly 100 new and growing food businesses.

Earlier this month, Bailey Foster and the team at Real Good Kitchen (RGK) celebrated their third anniversary.

“We opened our doors to our first (4!) shared kitchen members on January 8, 2021,” she wrote in an email. “Since then, our shared commercial kitchen facility has served nearly 100 new and growing food businesses. Here are some details to put that number in context. Of the businesses served in our first three years, over 70 percent were owned or co-owned by women, 37 percent were BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and people of color)-owned or co-owned, and over 80 percent were start-ups.”

The shared commercial kitchen is located at 2004 East Magnolia Avenue.

RGK built Real Good Catering, a unique catering program that supports businesses operating out of our kitchen, bringing their delicious food to corporate meetings, weddings, and celebrations of all kinds. And, its newest initiative – the Food Business Incubator Program – will welcome its inaugural cohort later this week with the Real Good Foundation, its nonprofit partner.
