PYA ranked a “Top 100 Accounting Firm” for the ninth year in a row
The listing comes from the "Accounting Today 2025 Top 100 Firms" report.
For the ninth year in a row, PYA was named a Top 100 Accounting Firm in the Accounting Today 2025 Top 100 Firms report. Additionally, the firm was the leader in revenue attributable to consulting and advisory work among all U.S. firms as published in the report. Among those on the list, PYA was recognized as the ninth-largest firm in the Southeast region and the second largest with headquarters in Tennessee.
The 2025 rankings were based on 2024 total revenues, percentage of revenue increase, number of employees, and other metrics collected through a survey process of accounting firms.

According to the Accounting Today report, the average growth rate throughout 2024 for the Top 100 firms was only 4.89 percent, significantly lower than in 2023, yet strength in the industry is found in the multiple types of services offered, demonstrating an ability to adjust as clients’ needs dictate. PYA experienced a growth rate well above the national average, and the firm’s employee base grew by more than 9 percent in 2024.
Most of the Top 100 firms experienced increases in client accounting and advisory services (CAAS), a service line expected to continue to expand. PYA has seen significant growth in its CAAS service line as well as continued growth in non-traditional and consulting services.
Other services with notable development in the Top 100 include attest services, state and local tax services, estate/trust/gift tax planning, business valuation, and international tax. PYA launched an International Tax service line in January 2025 as part of its growth strategy.
In February, PYA’s Tax services again were recognized when the firm was named by USA TODAY as one of America’s Most Recommended Tax Firms for the second year in a row. In 2024, the firm was named an INSIDE Public Accounting Top 100 Firm for the ninth year.
