PitchBook releases latest ranking of universities by number of founders
PitchBook has just released its annual ranking of undergraduate and MBA programs based on the number of venture capital-backed founders among their alumni, and the top four for sure will not surprise you.
Stanford University comes in first followed by the University of California, Berkeley (#2), Harvard (#3), and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (#4). Rounding out the top five is the University of Pennsylvania.
The highest ranked institution in the Southeast or East Coast is Duke (#20) followed by the University of Virginia (#30), University of Maryland (#33), Georgia Institute of Technology (#36), University of North Carolina (#40), and University of Florida (#46).
