PitchBook issues “2022 US Venture Capital Outlook” report
Right before the holidays, PitchBook released its “2022 US Venture Capital Outlook” report that started by noting that the “industry shattered records left and right in 2021, as the private markets raced through the economic recovery and soared to new heights.”
So, what does PitchBook think will happen in the brand new year? Key takeaways include:
- U.S. investors will make more foreign investments than ever before.
- At least 25 percent of all Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs) that were created in 2020 will not execute a deal prior to the two-year mark.
- More than 1,500 corporate venture capital funds will make a deal in the U.S. in 2022.
Readers can access the PitchBook report here. The first article in the annual teknovation.biz “Investor Outlook” series will post soon.
