
Pellissippi State announces its “Spring Manufacturing Symposium”
The event will be held on April 16 at the Ruth and Steve West Workforce Development Center on the Pellissippi State Blount County campus.
Pellissippi State Community College will host its “Spring Manufacturing Symposium” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. EDT on April 16 at the Ruth and Steve West Workforce Development Center on the Pellissippi State Blount County campus.
Ashleigh Walters, author of the book Leading With Grit and Grace, will keynote the event. She previously led Onex, an industrial furnace manufacturer that served steel, aluminum, and forging industries. There’s also a panel discussion titled “Tradition Meets Technology: Adapting Skills for Manufacturing’s Next Era.” It will feature:
- Tracy Queen, Chief Financial Officer and General Manager, ICC International;
- Marc Bradley, Director of Engineering and Information Technology at StandardAero;
- Ashleigh Seay, Engineering Leader at JTEKT North America; and
- Jonaaron Jones, President and General Manager at Beehive Industries.
Lunch will be provided by local start-up Laborup.
