ORNL secures more than $8 million for tech commercialization
The lab submitted 27 full applications and was awarded funding for 12 projects — a 44 percent success rate.
In fiscal year 2023 (October 1, 2022 through September 30, 2023, Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) was awarded more than $8 million in technology maturation funding through the Department of Energy’s Technology Commercialization Fund (TCF).
ORNL’s Technology Transfer Office engaged the lab’s research staff and managed the submission of 39 TCF project proposals in FY 2023. Of these, ORNL submitted 27 full applications and was awarded funding for 12 projects — a 44 percent success rate.
