Oak Ridge National Laboratory just named two new Associate Lab Directors, a fairly rare occurrence for two to be named simultaneously.

• David Dean becomes Associate Lab Director for Physical Sciences, succeeding Michelle Buchanan who is now Deputy Lab Director for Science and Technology; and
• James Peery becomes Associate Lab Director for the Global Security, succeeding Brent Park who was recently confirmed as Deputy Administrator for Defense Nuclear Nonproliferation at the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration.
