NSF releases solicitation for its Convergence Accelerator Southeast Regional Anchor

The federal agency will hold a webinar on the funding opportunity on October 29.

The U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) has announced the release of the NSF Convergence Accelerator Southeast Regional Anchor solicitation.

The funding opportunity will establish the Regional Anchor for the Southeast Region, part of NSF’s three-year plan to scale the NSF Convergence Accelerator from a single national program to 10 regionally focused NSF Convergence Accelerators that aim to advance research, innovation, and workforce development and address pressing societal and economic challenges within defined geographic areas.

Launched in 2019, the NSF Convergence Accelerator program builds upon NSF’s investment in basic research and discovery to accelerate solutions toward societal and economic impact. The program’s multidisciplinary teams use convergence research fundamentals and innovation processes to stimulate innovative idea-sharing and the development of sustainable solutions. Ahead of the deadline for applications at 4 p.m. EST on November 21, NSF will hold a webinar on the Southeast Regional Anchor funding opportunity. It will be held from 2:30 to 4 p.m. EDT on October 29. To register, click here.
