Northeast TN, Southwest VA explore ways to spur more economic growth at ETSU-hosted forum
One of the speakers at an economic development forum in Northeast Tennessee last week delivered a familiar message when he urged government and business leaders to “do a ‘realistic’ inventory of local assets, make clear choices’ on how to develop them and take ‘sufficient action’ on delivering a game plan to change things.” One possibility on the table is a proposal to have a unified organization to lead economic development efforts across the region that also includes Southwest Virginia.
