New report says COVID-19 relief will bring more employee turnover
In a recent report about employee burnout, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) warned of an oncoming “turnover tsunami” as the COVID-19 pandemic begins to end and the American economy resumes job creation.
The first paragraph of the document reads as follows: “More than half of employees surveyed in North America plan to look for a new job in 2021, according to a new report, while separate research shows that a quarter of workers plan to quit their jobs outright once the COVID-19 pandemic subsides and recruiting efforts ramp up.”
That’s certainly cause for alarm among employers of all size enterprises, and veteran entrepreneur and investor Donald Thompson, a regular contributor to WRAL Tech Wire, examines the topic in this recent column.
