Marlin Equity Partners makes major investment in Chattanooga’s Skuid
Marlin Equity Partners recently announced that it has “completed a majority recapitalization of and growth investment in Skuid Inc., a leading no-code, design first cloud application development platform.”
The Chattanooga-based start-up, which we first spotlighted in this 2016 article in teknovation.biz, has been growing fast and recognized in a number of ways. It made VentureBeat’s list of 10 start-ups outside Silicoin Valley to watch in 2018, captured the 45th spot on LinkedIn’s “Top Companies|Start-ups” list in late 2017, and garnered a top position in Entrepreneur magazine’s 2017 listing of “Top Company Cultures.”
In its announcement, Marlin Equity Partners cited the “company’s comprehensive software solution (that) seamlessly integrates with multiple databases and unifies disparate data sources to improve workflow processes that enable developers and non-technical users to design, develop and rapidly deploy enterprise applications.”
Los Angeles-based Marlin Equity Partners is a global investment firm with more than $6.7 billion of capital under management.
“We sought to partner with a global investment firm that has a history of empowering companies with game-changing technologies,” said Ken McElrath, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Skuid. “Marlin shares our strategic vision of helping our customers transform their businesses through innovative, human-centered applications and we are thrilled to be working alongside such a complementary partner.”
