Local Motors secures funding to scale production of the Olli in Knoxville
Local Motors, which manufactures its Olli autonomous vehicle at the company’s microfactory in West Knoxville, has received funding to help scale the production of the electric vehicle. The investment came from GameAbove Mobility, a division of CapStone Holdings Inc.
“GameAbove’s investment and strategic partnership are important to fulfill the near-term demands for further deployment of Olli, our autonomous electric vehicle,” Jay Rogers, Local Motors Chief Executive Officer, is quoted as saying in this news release. “It will also enable us to continue advancing our technologies and microfactory processes.”
