LifeSciTN announces details of this year’s “Venture Forum”
(EDITOR’S NOTE: Teknovation.biz Editor Tom Ballard is Chair of Life Science Tennessee’s Entrepreneurial and Economic Development Committee.)
Life Science Tennessee (LifeSciTN) is soliciting applications for its second annual “Venture Forum” that will be held during the organization’s annual conference October 9-11 in Nashville.
LifeSciTN is focused in part on growing the life science sector – companies and jobs – throughout the state. With that goal in mind, the “Venture Forum” helps bridge the gap between researchers, entrepreneurs and venture capitalists in Tennessee by creating an interactive and vibrant atmosphere in which to create partnerships and raise capital.
Applications are being accepted through August 19. Immediately after Labor Day, five companies will be notified that they will participate in the finals. At least one start-up will come from each of the state’s three grand divisions.
Here’s the official release from the association (LST 2013 Venture Forum Press Release). Full details about the competition are available at LifeSciTN’s web page – http://lifesciencetn.org/displaycommon.cfm?an=1&subarticlenbr=77.
