“KTech PULSE Technology Summit” set for November 4
The Knoxville Technology Council (KTech) will celebrate the technology achievements of the local region as well as those across the Volunteer State at an event that begins mid-afternoon on November 4.
Co-sponsored by Jewelry Television (JTV) and Verizon, the “KTech PULSE Technology Summit” will begin at 3 p.m. at the JTV headquarters, 9600 Parkside Drive.
“You can expect engaging speakers with Q&A from the audience, a networking happy hour, and the chance to reconnect with familiar faces or make new connections in person,” the organizers write. “Find out what’s been happening at Knoxville-based organizations to drive innovation and technology development in our region and around the world — you might be surprised at all that’s going on right around you!”
For those who cannot attend in-person, a virtual livestream will also be available with the opportunity to submit your questions during the Q&A. There is no registration fee, and the link to register is here. In-person attendance will be limited to allow for social distancing, and masks will be required.
The preliminary agenda includes:
- A “Technology Showcase” that will feature a series of short presentations from big enterprises and start-ups highlighting achievements of Knoxville-area businesses;
- An ‘Innovation Spotlight’ that will be a deep dive into an innovative project impacting the region;
- A “Tech Workforce Panel” discussing what the future of work looks like in this new age of the hybrid office model; and
- A “Tech Spotlight” that will be a deep dive into the work of the High-Performance Computing Clusters Group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory to manage workloads sent to the supercomputer for COVID-19 research.
KTech had a similar event in 2019 that we covered in this teknovation.biz article.
