Knoxville Chamber launches “Back to Work” resource website

The Knoxville Chamber of Commerce has launched its “Back to Work” resource website that is designed to aid East Tennesseans in finding a job before federal unemployment benefits end.

“In less than a month, the supplemental income that unemployed individuals are receiving will end,” said Lauren Longmire, the Chamber’s Director of Regional Enhancement. “The hiring process takes time. To prevent a lapse in income, job seekers should begin their search immediately. Waiting until the deadline could be devastating for those that get caught without a paycheck.”

The microsite (click here) contains information about local job fairs and hiring events as well as other services to assist individuals seeking to return to the workforce. The first of those job fairs is from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. EDT tomorrow.
