KEC launches “Made for Knoxville” initiative
The Knoxville Entrepreneur Center (KEC) has announced the launch of the new “Made for Knoxville” campaign to elevate awareness of Knoxville’s diverse entrepreneurial ecosystem. The goal is to connect and empower the diverse entrepreneurial community in the Knoxville region – ranging from “solo-preneurs” to makers, growth stage tech companies, investors, and established institutions.
“Made for Knoxville” will shine the light on the big wins, everyday hustles, and ongoing challenges that the local entrepreneurial ecosystem faces in unprecedented times. Those who have a story to tell can submit their information here.
“‘Made for Knoxville’ is an effort to highlight the amazing entrepreneurial talent in our region – past, present, and future,” said KEC Executive Director Jim Biggs. “It is our way of elevating the profile of entrepreneurs here and celebrating their work by telling their stories as Founders, and as importantly, as engaged, transformative members of our community life. We hope to be able to share everyone’s story – start-ups, scaled businesses, makers, main street, tech – so that folks inside and outside of Knoxville will better appreciate the strength and diversity of our thriving entrepreneurial community.”
