KEC announces upcoming programs

One is "Brandcamp," the other is "Starting Your Business 101."

Are you a young entrepreneur or potentially needing a business basics refresher? If so, the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center (KEC) has just launched two applications to work alongside other entrepreneurs to continue your education and accelerate your business.

  • One program is titled “Starting Your Business 101.” It is a five-week course focused on building a business plan in a flexible community environment. The only real prerequisites are: (1) having a business idea you’re ready, willing and excited to share and work on; and (2) having a willingness to study, shape and fine-tune that idea in a supportive, collaborative and welcoming environment. Application deadline is July 30 for the program that starts on August 7. More information and an application can be found here.
  • The other is KEC’s always popular one-day “Brandcamp.” Led by marketing and branding experts, its is designed to: (1) provide business owners and founders with a deep understanding of the importance of brand planning; and (2) equip them with the necessary tools and skills to develop a brand plan that will help set their companies up for success. Applications are being accepted through July 17 for the program that will be held July 29. More information can be found here.
