KAUL hosts annual ‘Elevating Our Impact’ Luncheon

Interim President and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Advice Evans Reid unveiled the 2024 Impact Report.

The Knoxville Area Urban League (KAUL) held its annual Membership Luncheon virtually on Wednesday. The event celebrated 2024 successes and previewing 2025 initiatives. Originally set for the Knoxville Convention Center, it was moved online due to snow across the region.

Dr. Tyvi Small, KAUL Board Chair, highlighted the organization’s community impact and shared stories of how KAUL programs empower youth, support small businesses, promote racial equity, and strengthen the local economy.

“It was inspiring to see our staff, board members, and partners celebrate our work, even if weather impacted the luncheon,” said Dr. Avice Evans Reid, KAUL Interim President and CEO.

Three KAUL clients—Zenobia Dobson (Workforce Development), James Davis (Housing), and Brianna Andrews (Education)—shared personal stories of growth through KAUL’s programs, offering powerful testimonies of success.

KAUL also presented its 2024 Annual Report, recognized outgoing board members, and welcomed new directors. The League, established in 1968, remains dedicated to helping disadvantaged individuals achieve economic stability and self-sufficiency through its programs and advocacy.

The impact report has not been released online. When it becomes available, we will break down the impact in teknovation.biz.
