“HealthTech Arkansas” attracting some strong start-ups to its second accelerator cohort
Nine healthcare providers in Arkansas have joined forces to launch “HealthTech Arkansas” and, if the six companies they have attracted to the second cohort are any indication, it’s a very successful initiative.
The six companies were selected from hundreds of applicants across 18 different countries and are headquartered in innovation capitals like San Francisco, New York, Boston, San Diego, and Seattle. According to the leaders behind “HealthTech Arkansas,” the six companies already have 177 full-time employees and have raised over $90 million of external capital after forming the companies.
The accelerator program partners include: Arkansas Heart Hospital, Arkansas Children’s Hospital, Arkansas Urology, Baptist Health, CHI St. Vincent, Conway Regional, Mercy, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and Washington Regional Medical Center.
