Georgia Bio has tool to rank life science readiness of communities
It's called the BioReady program and is based on a system developed by MassBio.
Ahead of LSTCON, Life Science Tennessee‘s annual conference, that is occurring Wednesday in Nashville, we recently came across a program that Georgia Bio has launched in the Peach State.
It’s called the BioReady® Community program, and the focus is on bioready sites as Georgia’s life science sector continues its strong growth. The BioReady® program will allow municipalities to showcase biotech-zoned science parks, streamline permitting, build a robust infrastructure, and identify biotech-friendly sites more effectively.
Based on a program developed by MassBio, BioReady® rates these communities in three tiers from Bronze to Gold. Through these ratings, Georgia Bio seeks to provide cities and towns a platform to effectively tell their stories to the biotechnology industry that will ultimately help real estate developers and biotechnology companies find the most favorable destinations to locate.
