Flow MedTech selected for SC Launch program
Flow MedTech Inc. is one of 12 new companies accepted into the SC Launch program. The announcement was made last week.
SC Launch is an initiative of the South Carolina Research Authority that provides mentoring and other support services to those selected for the program. In addition, start-ups in the cohort are also be eligible to receive grant funds or investment.
Co-Founder Arnab Chakraborty is based in Johnson City, while the other Co-Founder – Christine Hang – is located in Aiken, SC. Their company is an early stage medical device start-up with a patented technology focused on preventing strokes in patients with atrial fibrillation. About 800,000 Americans annually suffer strokes with one in five due to atrial fibrillation (AF), the most common arrhythmia.
Chakraborty competed in the recent “Venture Match” hosted by Launch Tennessee and Life Science Tennessee.
