Finalists named for Sustainable Mobility Reverse Pitch Challenge

The event is part of next week's "3686" event.

The Company Lab (CO.LAB) and TennSMART, two leaders in Tennessee’s sustainable mobility entrepreneurship sector, have announced the four winners of the Sustainable Mobility Reverse Pitch Challenge. This annual competition challenges innovators, founders, researchers and forward-thinkers to address issues presented by some of the world’s top corporate and industry leaders.

From a pool of 14 top-tier applications, the four teams selected unlock access to TennSMART’s mentorship programs, top priority in CO.LAB’s Sustainable Mobility Accelerator diligence process, and introductions to potential corporate partners and investors.

The four are:

  1. BrdgTRK (Chattanooga): Provides a cloud-based hardware solution that gives users end-to-end visibility of shipping goods in real time.
  2. Ganaio (El Cajon, CA): Developer of a patented hardware solution that extends the driving range of electric vehicles.
  3. Minco Technology Labs (Austin, TX): Provides flexible fuel cell propulsion that has a lower cost of ownership than legacy propulsion systems.
  4. Naycel (Lake Mary, FL): Decarbonizes the battery supply chain by converting carbon gas into responsibly manufactured critical battery graphite materials.

“The caliber of innovation we’re seeing from startups shaping the future of intelligent mobility in Tennessee is remarkable,” said Bryan Barringer, TennSMART Director of Entrepreneurship and Commercialization. “Their visionary solutions address chronic challenges in transportation that will transform how we move and live in urban environments, laying the foundation for smarter, cleaner cities.”

Finalists will pitch their solutions on stage at Launch Tennessee’s 36/86 conference in Nashville on September 10.

“Chattanooga’s strategic location and support from corporations like TVA, EPB, UTC, Qubitekk and Kenco Group make it a prime hub for logistics and mobility innovation,” said Tasia Malakasis, CO.LAB Chief Executive Officer. “By nurturing founders solving complex challenges in the movement of people, goods, energy, and data, we’re paving the road to cleaner, more efficient, more accessible mobility solutions that will transform entire communities. When we invest in these founders, we invest in a better and more connected future for all.”
