Finalists for Nashville’s “2024 NEXT Awards” announced

There are six categories with three finalists in a start-up subgroup and three in the growth subgroup.

Nashville Entrepreneur Center (EC) announced on Thursday the finalists for the “2024 NEXT Awards,” an annual ceremony that recognizes entrepreneurs who are transforming industries and strengthening the Middle Tennessee community and beyond. Presented by Amazon, the ceremony will be hosted at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center on Monday, October 21.

The program honors businesses across different industry categories, including: healthcare; financial services; music, sports, gaming and entertainment; products and services; real estate and construction; and hospitality and retail. There are three finalists in each stage and category. Two winners will be selected in each category – start-up companies in business less than five years and growth companies in business more than five years.

Finalists in this year’s industry awards are:

  • Healthcare Start-up: LIFE COORDINATED, Inc., Local Infusion, and VantageHealth.
  • Healthcare Growth: Blessed Beginnings, Psych Hub, and Thalamus Financial Services.
  • Financial Services Start-up: Hilum Capital, inRev, and Raise Financial.
  • Financial Services Growth: Celero Commerce, Wealth Access, and Wilmoth Financial.
  • Music, Sports, Gaming and Entertainment Start-up: Absolutely Ridiculous, Affinity Entertainment, and Tennessee Voice Over Studios.
  • Music, Sports, Gaming and Entertainment Growth: Orange Thread LIVE, Single, and Soundstripe.
  • Products and Services Start-up: Flora, HeroWear, and Tiny Mighty Communications.
  • Products and Services Growth: Covert Results, Pivot Technology School, and Redwood Literacy.
  • Real Estate and Construction Start-up: Ojas Partners, Populace Community Strategy, and Urban Campus and Core, LLC.
  • Real Estate and Construction Growth: Eshelman Construction, Grade A Construction, LLC, and Sagemont Real Estate.
  • Hospitality and Retail Start-up: Creative Soulz Printing, Killjoy, and The Modern Dog Company.
  • Hospitality and Retail Growth: D’Andrews Bakery & Café, The Cordelle, and The Nashville Black Market.

The “NEXT Awards” will also honor two innovative founders across all industries with the “Start-up Entrepreneur of 2024 Award” (less than five years in business) and “Growth Entrepreneur of 2024 Award” (more than five years in business). Finalists in the first category are Woody Baum of Local Infusion, Jennifer Horne of Urban Campus and Core, and Paul Oakley of Tiny Mighty Communications. The finalists for the “Growth Entrepreneur of 2024” are Kate Feriante of Redwood Literacy, Angela Lee of Blessed Beginnings, and Rachelle Reigard of Grade A Construction.

“We’re excited to bring the entrepreneurial community together for a night of recognition and celebration,” said Sam Davidson, Nashville Entrepreneur Center Chief Executive Officer. “This event honors the past and current innovators, risk-takers, and visionaries who shape our city and industry’s future.”
