Consolidated Nuclear Security, Dynetics announce collaboration
The agreement allows the two to strategically partner to support nuclear and national security. CNS operates two federal facilities, while Dynetics is a leading provider of advanced, mission‑critical services and solutions to the U.S. Government.
Consolidated Nuclear Security (CNS), which manages the Y‑12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, and Dynetics, a subsidiary of Leidos headquartered in Huntsville, AL, signed a memorandum of understanding during last week’s “Tennessee Valley Corridor National Summit” held in Huntsville.
The agreement provides an opportunity for the two enterprises to strategically partner to support nuclear and national security. CNS operates the Y‑12 National Security Complex, along with the Pantex Plant located in Amarillo, TX, while Dynetics is a leading provider of advanced, mission‑critical services and solutions to the U.S. Government.
“Working with industrial partners like Dynetics allows us to develop high‑impact technologies and improve essential skills to support our national security mission,” said Rich Tighe, President and Chief Executive Officer of CNS.
This agreement enhances the ability of Y‑12 and Dynetics to develop technologies that support advanced manufacturing, including using digital, model‑based systems engineering to demonstrate and mature technologies from pilot to small‑ and large‑scale production operations. The agreement also facilitates collaboration to develop and deploy augmented, virtual, and experiential reality training technologies.
