Commonwealth of Virginia announces massive effort to graduate 31,000 new computer scientists
The Commonwealth of Virginia has announced a bold strategy to produce 31,000 new computer science graduates in the state over 20 years. Called the “Tech Talent Investment Program,” the initiative involves 11 universities. How big is the effort? Virginia Institute of Technology will receive about $545 million and George Mason University will nab $235 million in state funding over 20 years to meet their respective goals.
