“Charlotte Venture Challenge” making changes for 2018 event
The “Charlotte Venture Challenge,” an event that featured several Knoxville area start-ups over the past several years, is making some changes.
According to this announcement, the organizers will introduce a “new, interactive format that focuses on promising innovation emerging from UNC Charlotte research and the Charlotte community” for this year’s event set for May 1.
Area companies that participated recently include two that captured top prizes – Vig Sherrill’s General Graphene (2015) and Tony Bova and Jeff Beegle’s Grow Bioplastics (2016). Other participants were Joy Fisher with Clodico (2014) and Jeff Hubrig Jr. with Innovasan (2016).
