Camp Cleantech coming to Denver next month

The three-day event from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory is focused on cleantech and climate tech start-ups.

One of the biggest hurdles for many climate tech start-ups is they do not know what they do not know. A new event from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) aims to give those new ventures the tools and lessons to overcome the surprises that await them on the journey to the market.

Named Camp Cleantech, it is a first-of-a-kind event designed for cleantech and climate tech start-ups to learn how to solve their immediate needs and work on the next steps in their journey. Participants will get the expertise of 15 top-tier accelerators and incubators in one place at one time. They include the Clean Tech Open, Dominion Energy Innovation Center, FORGE, Greentown Labs, and the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator.

Members of the NREL Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center’s (IEC’s) Channel Partner network will serve as instructors. The members identify and refer start-ups to IEC programs such as the Wells Fargo Innovation Incubator (IN2) and the Shell GameChanger Accelerator™ powered by NREL.

The event is scheduled for August 12-14 at Colorado State University’s Spur innovation campus in Denver. Cost is $575. For more information and to register, click here.
