Beach Putt could be another beach option
The idea for the start-up came after a happenstance event when a golf ball fell out of a bag.
Looking for another option to wile away your days on the beach other than playing bocce ball or cornhole? If so, a game that was generated by a happenstance event during a trip to Isle of Palms, SC, might just be your cup of tea.
It’s called Beach Putt, a company founded by Anthony Garofalo who explained on the start-up’s website that “a random golf ball fell out of one of our bags and quickly rolled down the packed sand like it was on a freshly mowed green. Lightbulb! Why not turn the beach into our own personal putting green? After a few prototypes and testing, Beach Putt was officially born and has quickly become an instant hit.”
The Charlotte, NC-based company even has you covered for beaches where the sand is not ideal for putting. “Just use our Beach Putt rings and flags, and you can turn Beach Putt into a fun chipping style game. Our flags push easily into the ground, so you can even use them on grass!”
Right now, a set that includes two putters is selling for $144. And there’s a video here that explains how to set up your Beach Putt experience.
