August Bioservices announces $23.6 million Series A extension
August Bioservices, the Nashville-based contract development and manufacturing organization we spotlighted in this recent teknovation.biz post, has closed a $23.6 million Series A extension.
The round was led by Polaris Partners which joined existing investor Oak HC/FT. As part of the financing, Brian Chee, Managing Partner of Polaris Partners, joined the August Bioservices’ Board of Directors.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its manufacturing capacity and capabilities to advance the technology platforms needed to support production of sterile injectable medications.
