Applications open through the end of January for two LaunchTN programs
One is for organizations wanting to host summer interns. The other is for the Tennessee Technology Advancement Consortium's Fellowship program.
Launch Tennessee (LaunchTN) is accepting applications for two different programs. One involves host organizations for the Summer Intern Program; the other is the Tennessee Technology Advancement Consortium’s (TTAC) Spring 2025 Innovation Fellowship. Both have deadlines at the end of January.
Summer Intern Program:
LaunchTN invites Tennessee-located start-up companies, venture capital firms, and entrepreneur centers to apply to host a summer intern. LaunchTN facilitates intern recruitment, professional development for students, and in many cases shares the cost of the student stipend (dependent on host company ability to pay, as determined through application process). Interns have access to LaunchTN-hosted networking and professional development opportunities throughout the summer.
The organization notes that host organizations continue to find value in summer intern placements and the caliber of work they complete throughout the summer. Many host companies extend their engagements with interns (some have even ended up hiring their interns, stating that the program provided a great means for testing skills prior to making a permanent hiring decision).
Over the 10 years that the program has operated, 392 interns have been placed with 109 host companies and a fourth of those interns had their tenure continued.
