This year's event will add a second competition and also offer more dollars to the winners of the longstanding event.
Applications are now being accepted for two pitch competitions that will highlight this year’s “Startup Day” in Knoxville. Scheduled for the afternoon of October 1 at The Mill & Mine, the annual event has added a second pitch competition and also upped the prize money.
- The Anderson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, is holding a special pitch event for students enrolled at the University. It will offer a prize of $2,500 to the winner.
- The Innov865 Alliance has upped the monetary amount for the standing pitch competition. The Crowd Favorite will receive $5,000 this year, while the start-up that comes out on top as the Judges’ Choice will be awarded $10,000.
