Applications now open for inaugural “Idea to Reality” course
It's a new offering from the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center and a prerequisite for the 100Knoxville program.
As part of some revised program plans for 2024, the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center (KEC) has announced the launch of “Idea to Reality,” a five-week introductory-level business development course that helps aspiring entrepreneurs put their “Big Ideas” into action.
KEC explains that “Idea to Reality” will function as an introductory “Business 101” course, covering the basics of launching a business. In this course, an entrepreneur will discover more about who they are as business owners, who their target customers are, and what steps they can take to create a sustainable business. The curriculum will also touch on all things finances.
“Idea to Reality” is now a prerequisite for the 100Knoxville program, and applications are now being accepted at this link for the inaugural cohort that meets three hours each Thursday for five weeks beginning February 8.
In addition to the “Business 101,” program, 100Knoxville will offer a more advanced “Business 201” program, “Shift Outside of Hustle.” It is another five-week course that will dive even further into how an entrepreneur can grow his/her business, establishing goals and taking strategic action towards accomplishing those goals.
Quarterly 90-minute workshops will also be offered, facilitated by members of the 100Knoxville community to include program alums, mentors, and supporters covering topics like bankability, selling a product, and building a team.
