Applications for Launch Tennessee’s “SBIR and STTR Matching Program” open today
As previously highlighted in this teknovation.biz post, Launch Tennessee will be opening the portal to begin accepting applications for state’s “SBIR and STTR Matching Program,” which the organization administers, beginning today.
The funding, which was suspended in the 2020-21 fiscal year as one of the casualties of concerns over state revenue collections due to the COVID-19 pandemic, was restored for 2021-22 and increased to $7 million. The state funds match awards to Tennessee-based companies through either the federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR).
According to Launch Tennessee, “Notice of Award date must be between July 1, 2019 and June 30, 2021. Applications with a Notice of Award date after June 30, 2021 will be considered on a case by case basis, pending funding availability.”
