Alabama announces first-ever innovation awards competition
Nominations are now being accepted in nine categories. Finalists will be named this summer, and the winners will be announced at an event on September 27.
The first-ever “Alabama Innovation Awards” competition has been announced. Nominations are being accepted through April 15 in nine categories to honor companies that have fresh ideas, innovative technology, and new products that are making a difference in the state’s economy.
Eligibility is limited to projects, products, or initiatives that were launched or released to the market in the calendar year 2021 or 2022 (between January 1, 2021, and December 31, 2022) and involve a company with an Alabama business license. The categories are healthcare, education, hospitality and tourism, cybersecurity, national defense, agriculture and farming, consumer products and services, talent and workforce development, and technology.
Those making the finals will be announced this summer, and the winners will be announced on September 27 at a ceremony at The Club in Birmingham.
