Patricia Nash, the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Patricia Nash Designs, continues to make waves as one of the country’s most celebrated female entrepreneurs. She was recently named to Inc.’s prestigious Female Founder 500 list, which only adds to her remarkable history of success, from an East Tennessee base.
Notably, the recognition also comes on the heels of the 15th anniversary of Patricia Nash Designs.
“For me, it was always about more than just handbags,” Nash said. “I wanted to create pieces that connect women, tell stories, and offer timeless style. Fifteen years later, seeing women across the world united by their love for our artisanal designs is beyond anything I ever imagined.”
Founded in Knoxville, Patricia Nash Designs has grown exponentially, now being featuring in renowned retailers like Macy’s, Dillard’s, HSN, and QVC. The brand’s footprint has also expanded beyond department stores, with airport boutiques in major travel hubs such as Atlanta, LaGuardia, Phoenix, and Nashville.
The editors of the Inc. 500 list select founders based on both quantitative metrics—like revenue and funding—and qualitative metrics such as social media influence and the founder’s story. As such, 2024 was a record-breaking year for the women on Inc.’s list, collectively bringing in $9 billion in revenue and $10.6 billion in funding.
Diana Ransom, Inc.’s Executive Editor, praised this year’s honorees.
“Female founders know what struggle is, but they’re also experts in adaptability and creativity. Through times of uncertainty, their unwavering dedication and leadership are vital to driving progress,” she said.
With Nash’s company thriving and global recognition growing, she remains grounded in her original mission of quality and timeless design.
“Though we’ve grown tremendously, our commitment to craftsmanship and family has never wavered. This recognition is a testament to the passion of our team and the incredible customers who have embraced our vision. I am profoundly grateful for this journey and thrilled for what lies ahead,” Nash said.
