Greater Nashville Tech Council announces 45 finalists for its annual awards

The winners will be revealed at the 16th annual event on February 27 at the Country Music Hall of Fame.

The Greater Nashville Technology Council (NTC) has announced the top three finalists in each category for the 2025 NTC Awards.

More than 250 public nominations in 15 categories were submitted by the Middle Tennessee technology community, and finalists were selected by a panel of peers and tech industry leaders. The award winners will be announced at the 16th annual NTC Awards ceremony, presented by Amazon, held February 27, 2025 at the Country Music Hall of Fame.

  1. Chief Data Officer of the Year: Ashutosh Singhal, Meharry School of Applied Computational Sciences; Chaitanya “CG” Garikapati, Mars; and Olivia Kew-Fickus, Vanderbilt University.
  2. Chief Information Officer of the Year: Ido Biger, Delek US; Jamie Engstrom, Caterpillar; and Laura Groschen, Acadia.
  3. Chief Technology Officer of the Year: Jamal Perry; Ray Spangler, Barge Design Solutions; and Rob Mills,  Tractor Supply Company.
  4. Community Leader of the Year: Jeremy West, Dollar General; Teresa “Dr. T” Vasquez, Repped in Tech; and Sam Zaza, Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU).
  5. InfoSec Professional of the Year: Caleb Chitwood, HCA Healthcare; Dianne Rose, Asurion; and Tim Miller, MorganFranklin Consulting.
  6. Innovation Initiative of the Year: Delek US, Forty AU, and Xsolis.
  7. Tech for Good Award of the Year: Bugle, Repped in Tech, and Tennessee STEM Innovation Network (TSIN).
  8. Tech Educator of the Year: Carlos Coronel, MTSU; Gary Garrison, Belmont University; and Stephanie Finley, Rutherford County Schools.
  9. Team Catalyst of the Year: Alberto Martinez, Alliance Bernstein; Ethan Schwaber, Tailor-Made Consulting; and Mayur Mehta, Gainwell.
  10. Senior Tech Sales Executive of the Year: Chris Meyer, NTT Data Services; Cory Edwards, Comcast Business; and David Hanna, Microsoft Corporation.
  11. Emerging Leader of the Year: Christi French, Azra AI; Janean Vance, HCA Healthcare; and Louis Davis, Amazon.
  12. Data Professional of the Year: Amish Suchak, Xsolis; Jackie Cheuvront, HCA Healthcare; and Kurtis Pritchard, also HCA Healthcare.
  13. Chief Information Security Officer of the Year: Andy Heins, LifePoint Health; Elliott Franklin, Fortitude Re; and Nagi Kudithini, Nissan.
  14. Software Engineer of the Year: Daniel Cottone, Asurion; Kim Eacott, Amazon; and Maggie Leavell, Thrive Financial.
  15. Tech Company of the Year: Amazon, Forty AU, and Xsolis.
