Here’s your preview of this week’s “3686” event

From four happy hours to timely sessions, Nashville is the place for entrepreneurs in the week ahead.

Regardless of when you read this article, the annual “3686” event kicks-off soon with the first of several happy hours occurring from 4 to 6 p.m. CDT on September 9 at Monday Night Brewing, 1308 Adams Street, Nashville.

All of the sessions on Tuesday – and there are many – are being held at Cannery Hall, 1 Cannery Row. It’s an historic building, dating back to 1883, and was the inaugural site for the first two years of “Southland,” the predecessor to “3686.” This will be the 12th edition of the celebration of entrepreneurship across the Volunteer State and beyond that is organized and hosted by Launch Tennessee.

Here’s a snapshot of the agenda on the main day of programming – September 10 (all times CDT).

  • 8 to 8:50 a.m. – Registration and breakfast.
  • 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Brella One-on-Ones.
  • 9 to 9:50 a.m. – “Meet the Mayors” featuring the “Big 4” Mayors.
  • 10 to 10:50 a.m. – “A Conversation about Climate Technologies,” “Going Global,’ and “Where Are They Now,” a lookback at The TENN participants.
  • 11 to 11:50 a.m. – “Mobility Pitch” from TennSMART and The Company Lab.
  • 11 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. – “Stuart Weitzman: An Entrepreneurial Journey on the Road Less Traveled.”
  • 12 noon to 3 p.m. – Start-up Showcase featuring interactive technologies.
  • 1 to 1:50 p.m. – “Marketing Masterclass for B2B and B2C,” “Capital Conversations,” and “CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) Funding Landscape.”
  • 2 to 2:50 p.m. – “AI (Artificial Intelligence) for Legacy Industries” and “Southeast Successes.”
  • 3 to 3:50 p.m. – “Spirts & Tech” and “Scaling Your eCommerce Business for the Future with Amazon.”
  • 4 to 4:50 p.m. – “InvestTN Pitch Competition.”
  • 5 to 5:50 p.m. – “Happy Hour Hangout.”
  • 9 p.m. – “Late Night Kickback” at Rosemary and Beauty, 1102 Forest Avenue.

On the final day (September 11), programming moves to multiple locations.

  • There are two events held at The Finch, 111 10th Avenue South. One is a session titled “Idea to Exit: The Journey Ahead” from 9 to 11 a.m., and the other is the “Invest in Community” from 3 to 4:30 p.m.
  • Soho House, 500 Houston Street, will be the location for two events. One is “Idea to Investible: Testing and Telling Your Start-up’s Success Story” from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. It will be followed by the “Black Founder Meetup” from 12 noon to 3 p.m.
  • Finally, “Investor Day” for those who purchase the special ticket will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Frist Art Museum, 919 Broadway. Then, from 2 p.m. on, the doors are open to all “3686” attendees as the Nashville Entrepreneur Center will host a “First Look” at its latest Project FinTech cohort followed by the final happy hour for the event from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
