IMPACT Professional Training unveils new office in West Knoxville

The corporate training company also announced their commitment to the non-profit community.

On Wednesday morning, a long-time corporate training franchise unveiled both a new name and brand. This ribbon cutting accompanies the news that “IMPACT Professional Training,” will now operate as an independent company.

The company was formerly known as New Horizons of East Tennessee and underwent a soft launch with the new brand at the beginning of the year. The business moved into a new office off Cedar Bluff and is ready to get to work in the business community.

The team at IMPACT offers several services: including industry training in artificial intelligence (AI), business intelligence, soft skills (i.e. leadership, team building, development), Microsoft, CISCO, CompTIA, AWS, Adobe, and other programming. Its goal is to both upskill individual employees and support the overall business ecosystem in the region.

Another goal of the company is to provide fast-paced training to help support those who are not quite ready for college.

At the Ribbon Cutting, Shannon Byars, a Managing Member at IMPACT spoke about the meaning behind the name and rebranding.

“To me, training means opportunity,” Byars said. “Being a corporate trainer means a lot to me personally, but I know it means a whole lot to our business community, too. It creates an opportunity for our community to be better – and that’s IMPACT.”

In addition to the services offered to individuals and businesses, the team at IMPACT also announced their non-profit initiative.

“We decided that for every ten seats sold in our training programs, we pledge to donate a class to a local non-profit,” Byars added. The community members and partners at the ribbon cutting all applauded the commitment to upskilling non-profit employees.

Several members from the Farragut Chamber of Commerce, Knox County Schools, and Knox Education Foundation were present at the meeting as well.
