Group named to build a biomedical cluster strategy for the Middle TN region
They will participate with representatives from 13 other cities as part of the Harvard Business School's Young American Leaders Program.
Ten corporate, academic, government, and nonprofit leaders from Middle Tennessee have been chosen by the Nashville-based Global Action Platform for a Harvard Business School (HBS) leadership program convening representatives from 14 American cities who are working across sectors to help their communities prosper.
Global Action Platform is the local strategic partner of the Harvard Business School Young American Leaders Program for Nashville and the regional affiliate of the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness, also in the Harvard Business School.
The class, which is charged with building a biomedical cluster strategy for the region using Michael Porter’s cluster and competitiveness models developed at HBS, includes:
- Isaac Addae, Manager of Entrepreneurship and Economic Development in the Office of the Mayor, Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County;
- Corinne Bergeron, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The Frist Foundation;
- Lindsey Cox, CEO of Launch Tennessee;
- Laurel Graefe, Regional Executive and Senior Officer, Nashville Branch, Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta;
- Donna Ingles, Director of Operations, Center for Technology Transfer and Commercialization, Vanderbilt University;
- Shanna Jackson, President, Nashville Community State College;
- Lindsey Paola, Chief Operating Officer, Nashville Soccer Club;
- Jim Stefansici Senior Director of Corporate Development, Cumberland Emerging Technologies;
- Adam Sansiveri, Senior Managing Director, Alliance Bernstein; and
- Robert Turner, Director of Technology Transfer and Innovation, Tennessee State University.
Other cities participating in the program include Austin, Boston, Columbus, Detroit, Miami, Minneapolis-Saint Paul, Salt Lake City, and Seattle.
