Jasmine Allmon takes the crown at the ‘Crown Pitch Competition’
The competition, organized by The Women and Shora Foundation took place on Saturday, June 15!
The Women and Shora Foundation was thrilled to present a remarkable lineup of five extraordinary Black women entrepreneurs who competed for the chance to win a $7,500 or $2,500 business grant at The Crown Pitch Competition. Jasmine Allmon, the founder of Allmon Artistry, took home the crown and the grand prize!
The Women posted a video of Allmon on Facebook, where she talks about her experience in the competition.
“I almost didn’t even apply… I almost really let imposter syndrome keep me from my blessing,” she said. “But, even though I felt unequipped and unqualified, they helped to do the equipping. I had no idea how to pitch, what that looked like, or what it required of me. I feel like I gained so much knowledge for how to do that, and how to apply that to my business. They give you everything you need to be successful!”
