Finalists named in three regions for TVFCU “Idea Leap Grant” competitions
A total of $225,000 is at stake with $30,000 going to the first place winner in each region.
The Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union (TVFCU) has announced the small business owners who are finalists in each of the Credit Union’s three regional “Idea Leap Grant” competitions. The regions are Chattanooga, Ocoee, and Northwest Georgia.
What’s at stake? In each of the three competitions, the first place winner receives $30,000, while second place is valued at $15,000, and the three runners-up will receive $10,000 each. That’s $225,000 in total.
As reported earlier this week, TVFCU is one of the key sponsors of the inaugural “Chattanooga Entrepreneur Week” and will hold the competition for the Chattanooga region on May 2. To register, click here. The five competitors from that region are:
- Creekside Flower Farm LLC (People’s Choice Winner);
- Divine Purity Aurapothecary LLC;
- Humanitees Print and Design;
- Renew Exterior Services; and
- Southern Soul Yoga.
The other competitions are as follows:
- Ocoee Region (Ace Kayaking School which also won the People’s Choice Award; Bakery on Main; Burnside Insurance Group; Ocoee Riverside Farm; and Treehouse Mountain). That competition is set for 6 p.m. April 30 at the PIE Center in Cleveland. To register, click here.
- Northwest Georgia Region (Cake Addicts which also captured the People’s Choice Award; Caffeine Addicts; Dalton Brewing Company; Dyer Livestock Beef LLC; and Insane Paintball LLC). That event is set for April 29, starting at 6 p.m. at the Harris Arts Center in Calhoun, GA.
