As part of a nationwide tour to find promising business concepts, Entrepreneur Ventures partnered recently with the Nashville Entrepreneur Center to host “The Consumer Challenge,” a pitch competition for consumer-focused start-ups.
The prize: a spot on Season 11 of Entrepreneur Elevator Pitch, a series showcasing emerging start-ups produced by Entrepreneur Media, perhaps best known for Entrepreneur magazine which was launched in 1977.
The winners were Nikki Sanz, Founder of Giggs, and Aabesh De, Founder of Flora. The former is a social networking and job posting platform for the touring Industry, while Flora says “it takes the guesswork out of plant care” through its patent-pending smart sensors. Also competing were two other start-ups – Justin Gray with Potluck and Wesley Belden with Raise Financial.
One of the hosts of the show and the Managing Partner of Entrepreneur Ventures – Jonathan Hung – helped judge the Nashville event.
