Four start-ups pitching at “Age Innovate Pitch Event” this week

It is the inaugural collaboration between the Nashville Chapter of Aging2.0 and the Music City Chapter of Community Equity Partners.

Four start-ups will be pitching March 5 at the inaugural “Age Innovate Pitch Event: Shaping Tomorrow’s Senior Living Landscape” that is being held at The Standard in Nashville.

The four are:

  • Soliddd which has developed Soliddd Vision™, a vision correction for macular degeneration that incorporates a superior form of AR and VR glasses with a focus on vision correction and health;
  • LifeQ which provides a biometrics and health information tracking device giving users a 360-degree personalized health mirror, along with the tools, tailored recommendations, and business partners that cover every aspect of a person’s health;
  • Wave Therapeutics that has developed a unique, patent-pending therapeutic technology that can help prevent pressure injuries; and
  • Uplyft that is marketing the first seated self-transfer system between bed and wheelchair for people with limited mobility. In about two minutes, a person can self-transfer him/herself with UpLyft from a horizontal lying down position in bed into their wheelchair, and vice versa.

As noted in this February 1 teknovation.biz article, the pitch event is a collaboration between the Nashville Chapter of Aging2.0, an organization that strives to accelerate innovation to address the biggest challenges and opportunities related to aging, and the Music City Chapter of Community Equity Partners (CEP).
